Anna Sorainen has travelled the world of media, communications and marketing for 25 years. She is a former journalist who founded her own communications agency Ground Communications in 2005. In 2019 Ground united with an ad agency Briiffi, and now Anna works for both companies as a Creative Strategist.
She is a brand, reputation and communications strategist who works mainly with boards and management teams. Typically, she is involved in assignments concerning a need for change or for strategic policies – or need for help in crisis situations.
Anna started her career in the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE as a TV-journalist with News, Current Affairs and Sports. She has also worked for other Finnish TV-channels before entering the world of communications as the communications manager for the Finnish Olympic Committee. Her winding road took her to McLaren Racing where she was responsible for Kimi Räikkönen´s international media relations. She has also held a position as the Director of Communications and member of the Executive Board at an ad agency Publicis Helsinki.
Anna was the Chair for ProCom – The Finnish Association of Communications Professionals between 2008–2011. She was elected as the Speaker of the Year in Finland in 2015. In 2018, Anna published a book “SORI” on crisis communications and leadership. In 2019, she was elected as the Communications Professional of the Year.
